BIO - Keith Fitzgerald
Keith Fitzgerald - President/CEO CareerIn 1994 Fitzgerald entered into Law Enforcement as a patrol officer. He worked street level interdiction and basic drug investigations. In 1996 he gained experience in general investigations and was given the responsibility to be overall drug enforcement activities. During this time he also held the rank of Sergeant over the Drug Interdictions K-9 units. In 1998, Fitzgerald was assigned to the Ocmulgee Drug Task Force; a unit run by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations comprised of seven surrounding counties. In 2002 he gained valuable experience and exposure while assigned to the East Metro Drug Enforcement Team; a unit comprised of three counties in Metro Atlanta working in an undercover capacity. He was assigned by the Chief of Police to work undercover for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Atlanta HITDA. While working for the DEA, Fitzgerald received over 150 hours of specialized training at the DEA Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Fitzgerald returned back to his department and was assigned as Commander over Special Operations and the Special Criminal Apprehension Team. In January 2005 Fitzgerald was promoted to Chief of Detectives as a Lieutenant. In September of 2005 he was approach by the Chief of Police and the County Sheriff to design a working relationship between the two departments’ drug units. This started a Narcotics Task Force comprised of County and City officers. Fitzgerald held the rank as Lieutenant Commander over the Walton County Narcotics Task Force, which is the first multi-jurisdictional Task Force in Walton County’s History. In 2010 Fitzgerald went to work as a Law Enforcement Professional for a private company as a consultant to the US Army on Law Enforcement matters in Afghanistan. In 2011 Fitzgerald was assigned to the ISU team in Afghanistan. Fitzgerald advised, mentored and operated with a 15 man Afghan Police Team on undercover operations.
RecognitionThroughout his career, Fitzgerald has been the recipient of several outstanding awards, including three medals of Valor, which are the highest awards an officer can receive.
Fitzgerald has been on several national television programs such as Fox News Network, Real TV, World’s Wildest Police Chases, CMT Home Videos, and EXTRA. He has appeared numerous times on local television stations. Fitzgerald cases have also been published in the Drug Bible distributed throughout the World. Fitzgerald co-authored a Drug Training Video which is used nationwide to train drug interdiction officers. |
